We are off!! Second semester is off to an awesome start. It
was so fun to hear about all the fun things the kids did over break. We were
excited to start some exciting new units and stuff this week!
Here are a few notes about this week and upcoming weeks
ahead:
- Report cards: 2nd quarter report cards are available to view on my ccs.
- New homework changes: A letter went home and was emailed about changes made to homework for second semester.
- Body safety: The students took part in the body safety talk today.
- MAP testing: Our second round of MAP testing starts next week. We will start with Math and then do Language Arts.
- Science: A new unit called Earth’s Changing Surface started this week. We are super excited to learn about the earth’s surface and how it changes.
- Long division: IT’S COMING!!! We will begin long division next week. If your child is struggling with multiplication facts, try to work on them! It will make it SOOO much easier for them! J
- Writing: We are starting a new genre: Informational text!
